Iloilo + Guimaras + Capiz: Manggahan Festival Exclusive

6 Days

Overview

We’ve visited Iloilo and Guimaras many times, and it’s a place we never get tired of returning to. Experiencing the Manggahan Festival firsthand, exploring the Gigantes Islands, and feasting in Roxas City, the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, inspired me to design this boutique tour. Often overlooked compared to Palawan or Boracay, Western Visayas deserves the spotlight with its unique blend of food, islands, and culture—and we’d love for you to join us in May 2026 for this exclusive Western Visayas journey.

Tour Itinerary

Begin your journey in Iloilo City, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Discover historic gems like Molo Church, famed as the feminist Gothic church, the elegant Molo Mansion, and the stately Nelly Garden, often called the “Queen of Heritage Houses.” Between sights, savor Iloilo’s culinary icons—from comforting La Paz Batchoy to freshly baked biscocho. In the evening, gather for a festive welcome dinner, where you’ll meet fellow travelers and our local team as we set the tone for the adventures ahead.

Rise early for the journey to Carles, the gateway to the Gigantes Islands. Spend the day island-hopping across turquoise waters, with stops at Cabugao Gamay Island, Antonia Beach, and the enchanting Tangke Lagoon. Swim, snorkel, and enjoy a freshly prepared seafood feast for lunch before winding down at a charming beachfront resort in Carles for the night.

After breakfast, travel north to Roxas City in Capiz, proudly known as the Seafood Capital of the Philippines. Stroll along the lively Baybay Beach, where rows of open-air eateries serve the freshest catch of the day—juicy scallops, prawns, oysters, and crabs cooked the local way. Savor a leisurely seafood lunch by the shore, with the ocean breeze and views of the Sibuyan Sea as your backdrop. Before heading back, we will shop for pasalubong like dried fish and local delicacies, a favorite take-home treat from Capiz. In the afternoon, return to Iloilo City for your overnight stay.

Board a short ferry to Guimaras Island, stopping at scenic spots and local villages along the way to soak in the island’s charm. Once on Guimaras, dive into the vibrant Manggahan Festival 2026, experiencing colorful parades, cultural performances, and the much-anticipated mango-eating challenge that celebrates the island’s sweetest fruit. After a day of festivities, retreat to an exclusive cliffside resort with sweeping sea views, just in time to enjoy a breathtaking Guimaras sunset.

Spend the day discovering Guimaras’ coastal gems on a private island-hopping tour. Visit Ave Maria Islet, Turtle Island, and Baras Cave, with plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and relax on pristine beaches. Enjoy a beach picnic along the way before returning to your exclusive cliffside resort. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating your Western Visayas adventure with local flavors and sunset views, a perfect conclusion to the journey.

On your last morning in Guimaras, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and perhaps a final swim before packing up. Take home the island’s famous sweet mangoes—and if you have limited luggage space, don’t worry, we can arrange shipping so your mangoes and treats arrive directly at your doorstep.

Back in Iloilo City, we’ll make a stop at the iconic Biscocho Haus, the go-to pasalubong center, where you can stock up on biscocho, barquillos, and other local delicacies.

Finally, we’ll bring you to the airport for your evening flight, carrying with you unforgettable memories of food, festivals, and islands that make Western Visayas truly special.
